Hello!
I go by the alias Misa. I've been blogging for over 15 years, and you may have stumbled across my other blogs before. It has taken me a very long time to figure out what I enjoy blogging about, and I lost inspiration despite loving blogging and writing. I took some time out to start a family, and now I am back to do what I truly love. I am currently a mum, based in Sydney, using this blog as a creative outlet for myself. My interests are quite broad and I love to be creative and like all things pretty and functional.
As a teenager I was always fascinated by Japan and its products, culture, trends and customs. I always dreamed of visiting the country, and learned the language diligently as a high schooler. My spare time is usually spent bingeing on J-dramas, because when I first was interested in Japanese media, it was a time when they were usually difficult to access (be it availability on the Internet, or lack of subtitles and translating), so I really treasure the opportunity now for me to "catch up" or make up for lost time.
It took me a very long time to muster up my courage to finally visit Japan, and my first visit was in 2016. I loved it so much I visited again at the end of 2016 for my honeymoon, with my third visit in 2020... which was unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.
Although Tokyo Time aims to mostly blog about all things Japan, there may be the odd post about lifestyle, and general snippets of life. I cannot possibly be in Japan all the time, but for one thing, there's something special about having a flashback or memory of my time in Japan, hence the name "Tokyo Time".
I hope that my blog will bring you snippets of information about Japan, products, and travel tips that are otherwise hard to access. I know for myself, it takes a lot of time and patience to do planning and research with very limited information and resources out there.

My newest love is playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so a lot of posts will be full of information for this particular game. It's not always easy playing a game, and in some ways it's even difficult to "master" a game. Well fortunately there's no right or wrong for this game, but there are some ways to make things easier if you can understand the mechanics behind it.
I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I hope that this platform serves as a bank of knowledge and makes it easy and enjoyable to absorb.
